Since 2013, CapX has provided Propel Fuels with the growth capital needed to accelerate the build out of its network of stations that offer drivers the cleanest, most sustainable, domestically produced fuels on the market today. Now, Propel is making the move to relocate their headquarters to Sacramento, CA. “The low carbon economy is being defined in Sacramento,” said Propel’s founder and CEO, Rob Elam, “There’s nowhere we’d rather be.”In 2014, Propel appointed new board directors and management to refocus the company on CA’s carbon opportunity. Propel’s board is now composed of CEO Rob Elam and directors, Eric Starr (Chairman) and Barrett Carlson of CapX Partners, a Chicago-based provider of capital to middle market companies. Propel has seen record results across all significant Key Performance Indicators, including Same Store Sales, COGS, Customer Acquisition, Customer Retention, and Capacity Utilization.
